4. Transportation
Teams are responsible to take care of their internal and external transport.

5. Lunch
Teams will be provided lunch at the ground – Coupon will be provided for the teams.

6. Drinks at the ground
Teams will be provided water bottle for their matches.

7. Equipment for the Match
Teams will be responsible to bring their own equipments for the tournament. White pads are allowed to use.

8. Tournament Attire
The tournament will be played in colours. Teams are responsible to bring their own attire. Please make sure you let us know your attire colour in advance.

9. Match Balls
The organizers will provide match balls (white colour).

10. Tournament Officials
Recommended by Selangor Cricket Association

11. Managers Meeting
Manager or captain will be briefed at their first match.

12. Rules & Regulation
All rules & regulations follow the MCC laws of Cricket (2005 Code) –
And with additional Six a side rules below:

1. QUALIFICATION
1.1. Each team comprise of 8 players and a manager. Local & expats are allowed to play

2. FORMAT
2.1. Teams will play group round robin matches – 5 overs per match
2.2. It will be a six a side tournament and 2 will be reserves
2.3. 5 overs in each innings will be bowled at the same end.
2.4. Bowlers run up – 8 yards max & will be marked
2.5. 7 teams will be participating
2.6. 2 groups with 4 teams & 3 teams in each group
2.7. Top 2 teams from each group will qualify for semi final
2.8. Winners of semis will play final

3. MATCH PLAY RULES
1. Each game shall be played between two teams of six players with five six ball overs being bowled by each side. Each member of the fielding side shall bowl one over.

2. Under no circumstances shall the nominated wicketkeeper be allowed to bowl or be substituted by any of the other five nominated fielders.

3. The wicketkeeper must be nominated at the time of the toss and must wear wicket keeping gloves at the instant of delivery otherwise a no ball will be called. A different wicket keeper may be nominated for each game but cannot be changed during the course of a game unless he is injured and gone out of the field.

4. The wicket keeper is allowed to wear pads.

5. Underarm bowling is prohibited.

6. There will be no LBW.

7. An innings is closed when the five overs have been completed or when the fifth wicket falls.

8. A batsman must retire not out on reaching a personal score of 31 runs. The batsman may complete all runs possible of the stroke which takes him to 31 and the full score shall count. If one of the last pair of batsman is out, the retired not out batsman in order may resume his innings.

9. If the fielders are not on the field when a game commences, the side in question must play the whole game with the number of players present at the start of the game. The opposing captain may nominate the member(s) of the fielding team to bowl any required overs to make up for missing fielders, but no bowler may bowl two consecutive overs or part thereof. A minimum of 5 players will be needed to start a match.

10. Toss of coin to be done 15 minutes before scheduled time. The organizer has the right to change the schedule time. The earliest change would be 10 minutes after the toss. It is advisable for all teams to be at the ground 45min before schedule time to avoid any delay. Failing to be at the toss would result a walk over to the opposing team unless a valid reason which to be decided by the organizing committee.

11. Wide
(a). A wide ball counts as four (4) runs to the batting side and no extra ball shall be bowled. Upon the call of wide the ball shall remain live
(any runs of a wide will be scored in addition to the 4 extras for the wide)
(b). A line shall be drawn, one at a distance of 24’’ on the off – side from the middle stump at right angels to the popping crease. Any ball passes the leg stump shall be called wide. Any ball, which in the opinion of the Umpire, passes the batting crease, over or outside the line shall be called a wide, providing it does not subsequently touch the bat and/or any part of the striker and irrespective of it being within reach of the striker

12. No Ball
(a)A no ball counts as four (4) runs to the batting side and no extra ball
shall be bowled. Any runs scored from a no ball ( off the bat, byes and leg byes ) shall be credited in addition to the 4 extras for the no ball.
(b) A free hit will be awarded for an over stepping No Ball. Fielder’s position should not be changed for the free hit unless there was change in the striker.
In the final over (5th over)– Wide & No Ball will be counted and an extra ball will be bowled. Every wide & no ball will be 4 runs extra.
A no ball shall be called if:
(c). Any ball after bouncing passes the batsman above the shoulder height standing upright at the crease or would have passed him above shoulder height had it not struck the batsman or bat.
(d). Any ball which having not bounced after leaving the bowler’s hand passes the batsman above waist height standing upright at the crease, or would have passed him above waist height had it not struck the batsman or bat.
(c). At the instant of delivery the wicket keeper is more than 30 yards away from the stumps at the strikers end.

13. Substitute
(a) A substitute will not be allowed to bowl or bat.
(b) If a fielder/wicket keeper is injured/ill during the course of the game he may be substituted subject to the prior approval of the Umpires. If the injured fielder has not bowled then the striker shall choose a bowler from the remaining nominated fielders. The same shall apply for a bowler if he is incapacitated during his over. The bowler who has been chosen will not be allowed to bowl consecutive overs or part thereof.
(c). If there is further injury/illness to the wicket keeper, then the substitute shall replace the wicket keeper and the team shall play short as there shall be no further substitution. Once a substitute is introduced the player being replaced shall take no further part in the match in progress.
Substitution shall be allowed only in the case of injury sustained during the game and for no other reason.
A penalty of 4 runs shall be deducted if an incoming batsman does not cross the outgoing batsman on the field of play.
New batsmen can be dismissed out if he does not bat within 90 seconds after a fall off wicket.

14. Bowl Out
If the semifinals or finals are not playable due to interruptions then a bowl out competition will be the decider. Each team will be having 5 bowlers who will bowl
two (2) balls each at the stumps. The team which hits the stumps most will be declared the winner

15. Point System
1. A game shall be won by the side having the highest score at the completion of the game.
In the event of any interruptions or delay in the first round matches, then these matches will be taken as a draw and each team will be awarded one (1) point
2. Should teams have equal points at the end of the group matches, the superior position will be decided in favour of the team having:
2(a) Head to head result. Winner will be superior, if drawn match
2(b) having lost the least wickets, if still equal
2(c) hit the most number of sixes, if still equal
2(d) hit the most number of fours, if still equal
2(e) the higher net run rate, if still equal
2(f) won the toss of the coin.
3. In the event of a tie in any game in the knock out stages the winner shall be :
3(a) the side losing the fewest number of wickets, if still equal
3(b) the side which scored the most number of runs excluding extras, if still equal
3(c) Bowl Out

16. Protest & Final Decision
The tournament officials have the right to amend the rules and regulations at any time during the competition if they consider it would be in the best interest of the tournament. Teams are not allowed to make protest. Decision made by the organizing committee shall be final.
