NOTICE

Notice is hereby given that the 89th General Meeting of the Association will be held at the Royal Selangor Club, Dataran Merdeka, 1, Jalan Raja, 52100, Kuala Lumpur on Sunday, 30th June 2019 at 10:30am.

AGENDA

1. To confirm the minutes of the 88th Annual General Meeting held on Saturday, 30th June 2018 at 10:30am at Royal Selangor Club, Dataran Merdeka, 1, Jalan Raja, 52100, Kuala Lumpur. Kindly refer to Appendix A.

2. To receive and adopt the Annual Report of the Management Committee for the period ended 28th May 2019.

3. To receive and adopt the audited statement of accounts for the year ended 31st December 2018.  Kindly refer to Appendix B. 

4. To receive and consider the budget for the year ending 31st December 2020. Kindly refer to Appendix C.

5. To transact any other business for which seven (7) clear days� notice has been given to the Hon. General Secretary.

The attention of the members is drawn to the following Articles of the Association:-

• Article 7
  7.2 An Ordinary Member and a Life Member shall be a Tamilian and have attained the age of 18.  He shall be eligible to enjoy all the benefits and privileges of the Association and shall also be eligible to vote at meetings and hold office.
  7.6  A member who is employed by the Association shall cease to be member during the tenure of his Employment.
• Article 9 
  9.8  Any member whose subscription remains unpaid for a continuous period of 3 months from the due date, shall be deemed to be a defaulter forthwith, and cease to enjoy all rights and privileges of his membership in the Association.
• Article 21 
  21.2 Any member requiring any specific information not included in the Annual Report or any specific detail requested in respect of the Statement of Accounts shall give notice in writing to the Honorary General Secretary not less than 7 days before the Annual General Meeting.
  

N.B. Resolutions and questions under Rule 21.2 should reach the Hon. General Secretary on or before 10:00am Sunday, 23 June 2019 at No 227, Jalan Maarof, Bangsar, 59000, Kuala Lumpur.
